Creator terms

These are the terms you agree to when you send us a clip or join the creator programme. They are the same terms set out on the creator page, written here as the document you actually sign, with a version on it.

Version creator-terms-2026-09-21. We record which version you agreed to and when. If we reword these, that is a new version and a new agreement — nothing you already signed changes meaning afterwards.

1. You keep your footage

You own what you filmed. Nothing here transfers copyright. What you give us is a licence to use a specific clip, and you can tell us to stop — see clause 5.

That licence covers this shop’s own surfaces: the website and our own social channels. Paid advertising is clause 4, and it is a separate yes.

2. The music has to be clear

Tell us what the audio is — your own, a licensed track you can name, or none. Commercial music added from an app’s library is almost never cleared for a shop to use, and if we cannot clear it we will ask you for a version without it rather than post it and hope.

This is asked for its own sake, not as a formality: it is the clause most likely to be the reason a clip we both want to use cannot go up.

3. Everyone in the clip is an adult

Every identifiable person in the footage is over 18 and knows they are in it. If somebody else appears, that is you telling us they agreed too. We do not publish clips featuring children, and we cannot verify this from the video — which is why we ask you to state it rather than assume it.

4. Being in an advert is a separate yes

Running your clip as paid advertising is asked for on its own, because your face is not the same thing as your video. Saying no here does not stop us using the clip on the site, and it does not affect commission.

You can withdraw this one on its own, later, without the clip coming down and without losing commission you have already earned.

5. It comes down when you say

One message and the clip is off every page here the same day. You do not have to give a reason, and there is no deploy to wait for — a withdrawal is recorded once and every surface stops showing it.

We keep the record that the clip existed and that you withdrew it. That record is the evidence we did what you asked, and it is the reason a take-down is recorded rather than deleted.

6. Credit

You are credited by name unless you ask us not to be.

7. Disclosure

If you are earning commission, say that it is a paid partnership — every clip, every time. It is a legal requirement where you post and where we sell, and it is the only version of this that is fair on the person watching.

8. Commission, if you are in the programme

  • 15% on goods, excluding tax and shipping.
  • It clears 30 days after delivery, when the order can no longer be returned. Until then it is pending, because until then the sale can still be undone.
  • Cleared commission is paid on request. Asking tells us you are waiting. We have not promised a payment day, and we would rather say so than print one we cannot hit.
  • Nothing is ever clawed back. A refunded order’s commission simply never becomes payable; it is not deducted from something else you earned.
  • A rate change applies to new orders only. Every order already on your account keeps the rate it was placed at.

9. Either of us can stop

You can leave whenever you like, and commission that has already cleared is still yours. We can end it too — if that happens, anything cleared is still paid, and clause 5 still applies to your clips.

What these terms have not been through yet.

No clip has been published under them and no application has been accepted, so none of this has been tested by a real disagreement. These are the terms we intend to keep, not a description of how they have worked in practice. The day that changes, this note goes.

Questions before you film something? Ask us. The creator page has the same terms in plainer language, with the reasoning behind them.
